Champions league surprise package Stuttgart are gearing up to face Real Madrid in their opening game of the campaign later tonight. Ahead of the showdown, star forward Deniz Undav appeared on cameras, and gave his two cents ahead of the big night.

the German international talked particularly on what it feels like facing Real Madrid on their first outing, while also highlighting what it meant going up against fellow international teammate Antonio Rüdiger.

Looking forward to the match, Undav said;

 “We can’t sh*t our pants. We have to go with a clear head & imagine that we can win. Otherwise, we have no chance.

If you’re scared of Real Madrid because it’s Real Madrid, then you’ll lose. You don’t even need to fly there.”

The German international, also appeared quite prepared for the challenges that come with facing Rüdiger. On his fellow compatriot, Deniz Undav said;

Facing Rüdiger?  “I’m prepared, I’ve already noticed how he pinches players during the National Team matches.

I have to tell Demirović that he should be prepared to get pinched a lot.”

A side comment that has sparked a lot of laughter in a tense atmosphere ahead of the game, Undav sure did say that in a humorous way. However, truth be told, Rüdiger has been noted for his sneaky tactics of trying to dis-concentrate opponent.

Deniz Undav, a threat to Madrid’s porous defense

Real Madrid were lucky not to concede atleast three goals in the weekend, after a poor defensive performance. Their opponent on the night hit the post thrice from close range and proved indecisive in dangerous areas.

Deniz Undav, 28, is a man Real Madrid has to watch out for tonight, owing to his form this season. Author of three goals and two assists already this season for club and country, the German is the danger man upfront for Stuttgart.

Heading into the night, the German will look to continue his fine form against the competition holders.
