Bellingham enjoyed a dream start to his Real Madrid career, after making the move from B. Dortmund. The Englishman won the UCL, the LaLiga and Spanish super cup, in what was a brilliant individual season, while also emerging favorite for the Ballon d’Or.
This season was no different, after having started the season with a trophy and an assist against Atalanta. However, an injury away to Mallorca meant the Englishman would miss the next three games.
Real Madrid are expected back in action this weekend after the break, with Bellingham hoping for an injury comeback.
Carlo Ancelotti joked on signing the wrong Bellingham
Although he is the famous of the 2, Bellingham is not the only footballer in the Bellingham family. His younger brother Jobe Bellingham plays in Sunderland, a championship club in England.
On the first episode of his newly opened YouTube channel, Bellingham narrated a scenario he lived with head coach, Carlo Ancelotti;
I still remember when my brother Jobe scored twice. We were watching the game and Ancelotti said: ‘Damn! we brought the wrong one! I’m going to bring him here.’,” he recalled.
Bellingham also recalled asking the coach: “where will he play”, with Ancelotti responding;
“in your position”
Bellingham still had fun memories about his Real Madrid presentation
In an episode dedicated mostly to his first days at the club, Bellingham recounted on his presentation day;
“I could live that day over a thousand times if I could. The moment I saw Jude Bellingham #5 for the first time, will live with me forever.”
The #5 easily brings back memories of a certain Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid. Full of respect for the club legend, Bellingham said;
“I’m not coming here to be Zidane, he was amazing. I’m trying to be Jude Bellingham who continues the number 5 legacy.”
Finally, Bellingham had flashbacks of a scenario which occurred on his debut game as he said;
