Coming off the back of a 2-0 win at the Bernabéu against Real Betis before the break, Real madrid looked to continue their fine form last night beating Real sociedad 2-0 at the Reale arena

It was a feisty showdown between the two clubs, with the home side having majority of the clear chances. After his side 2-0 win, a less critical Ancelotti gave his two cents on his game view.

The first topic to be raised was the penalty taking role, with Vinicius taking first, and Mbappe following up. On that aspect, Ancelotti said;

“They take penalties based on how they feel. First, it was Vini and then they decided that Kylian will take the second.”

On the game flow and his team’s performance on the night, Ancelotti said;

“I’m satisfied with the win, but we have to be critical if we want to improve. It was a complicated game, maybe we did not deserve to win.” The manager remarked, giving full credit to Real sociedad’s performance, while urging his side to step up.

Going into the night, Ancelotti had to make due without most of his star players. Without complaining, the manager remarked on the lack of personnel;

“We missed almost the entire midfield today, we were in an emergency and we will be able to rotate soon. It is difficult to find the right balance when you are missing many midfielders. I really appreciate Brahim’s performance.”

Talking of Brahim, the manager had this to say on the Moroccan, who was substituted early for an injury;

“Brahim has had some discomfort in his adductor. He will be evaluated tomorrow.”

While emphasizing on his teams struggle, Ancelotti continued;

“The start was tough. They pressed really well, but we were always able to find the free man. We are still not 100% physically, but the players are improving individually. We’re very happy.”

There was a lot of talks sorrounding Madrid’s second penalty in an incident where Vinicius was clearly fouled. on that he remarked;

“I did not see the second penalty, but it seemed like the referee had no doubts.”

Finally, to call it a day, Ancelotti left a message for his defenders and Militão’s fitness;

“Militão does not have an injury, he’s fine. In the upcoming games, the center-backs could rotate.”
