Tuttosport’s letter

According to the Spanish news outlet, the content of the letter were as follows:

“Dear Florentino Pérez, all solidarity for your decision to support Viní Jr and not go to Paris, where they have DISRESPECTED Real Madrid. A hug from Turin”

It’s worth nothing mentioning that Italian newspaper tuttosport are the organizers of the golden boy award. An award that recognizes the best young talent in football under the age of 20. Jude Bellingham won this award last season.

For such a prestigious entity to come out and table its disbelief after Vinicius Jr missed out on the award, this puts the credibility of the Ballon d’Or and its organizers France football under scrutiny.

However, at Real Madrid it looks like they have chosen to move on from the event. According to reports, Vinicius Jr is now focused than ever, while the club believes the award has long lost credibility. Carlo ancelotti on the other hand considers last seasons UCL win as the “Real Ballon d’Or”

Despite not in attendance, Real Madrid were also among the winners of the night. They won the best club of the year, with Carlo ancelotti winning best coach of the year as well. Summer signing kylian Mbappe was also joint top scorer alongside Harry Kane, winning the Gerd Muller award for most goals scored in the 2023/24 season.
