Injuries once more this season have not been kind with Real Madrid. As was the case last season or even worse, the club continues to suffer ill luck in terms of players fitness. The latest on that list is Rodrygo.
Despite a comfortable 4-0 win over Osasuna one week ago, it was a black night for the men in white. First it was Rodrygo who had to be subbed off just after 20 minutes, the worst of them all came in the 30th minute when Militão tore his ACL again for the second season in a row, and Vasquez was another player who was subbed off at halftime.
However, even in the dark times, there seem to be a reason to smile for the Madrid faithfuls.
Rodrygo Is Training With The Ball Again.
In a major update by Spanish publication marca, Rodrygo is set for an early return from injury. This comes after the player was spotted earlier during today’s training session doing some work with the ball.
Initially sidelined for 5-6 weeks, it’s promising to see that the player is already back on grass just after one week. As a result, a return to match action shouldn’t be that far away.
When Could He Be Match Fit?
With the international break rounding up already, Real Madrid will take-on Legenes away from home this weekend. Despite the speed of his recovery, the players participation this weekend is a big doubt.
Another big fixture awaits next mid-week, as the men in white travel to Anfield against Liverpool. This will be an opportunity for the player to get a few minutes towards the end, or More depending on the coach.
However, the following game next weekend could be the big moment for Rodrygo. Real Madrid are expected to host Getafe at the Bernabéu, and if things go well, Rodrygo could finally return to the starting XI, with the injury blow long forgotten about.
