France football officially released a list of 30 nominees for this year’s Ballon d’Or last night, featuring some interesting names. Amongst the 30 names, Real Madrid boast the highest number of players by a club, with a total of seven players.

The seven Real Madrid players on the list included; Vinicius Jr, Jude Bellingham, Toni Kroos (retired), Kylian Mbappe, Federico Valverde, Antonio Rüdiger and Dani Carvajal

Immediately after the list was published by France football, French Media outlet Goal was quick to release a list of top 10 contenders for this year’s award (via Madrid Xtra);

Indeed, Goal were not the only media outlet to endorse the Brazilian for the award. Reputable Spanish newspaper, Relevo also claimed;

Vinícius Jr has the BEST chances to win the Ballon d’Or.

Real Madrid’s correspondent for Reliable newspaper COPE, Arancha Rodriguez also claimed;

“I think there is no doubt that Vini is going to win the Ballon d’Or.”

Vinicius Jr enjoyed a particularly brilliant individual season with Real Madrid. Performances against liepzik in UCL round of 16, Man city in quarter finals, Bayern in semifinals and Dortmund at wembley won Real Madrid the champions league.

Vinicius also delivered an all-timer performance against Barcelona when he scored a hat-trick against the blaugranas in the finals of the Spanish super cup amongst many others of his individual brilliances.
