For almost a month now, Real Madrid have maintained the stance that ‘their squad is closed’. Madrid insists on their trust in current squad while highlighting they will be no going outs or coming ins.
However, despite all this, a player who has constantly been linked with a move away from the club is Dani Ceballos. The Spaniards lack of game time left him frustrated and wanted an exit.
Real Betis interest in Dani Ceballos
Andalusian side Real Betis have always fancied a return for their former star Dani Ceballos. The club holds his quality at high regards and wanted to bring him back this summer.
Earlier today, it was even reported by Spanish newspaper, Relevo (as quoted by Madridxtra) that Real Betis have reached an agreement with Dani Ceballos. Terms as per the source were as follows;
• €3 million salary
• Long-term contract
• Potential for retirement at the club, depending on performance.
Despite this, Real Madrid stood firm in their stance not to let the Spaniard leave for a bargain price. The Capital club were demanding €15m in transfer fee, a figure Real Betis couldn’t match due to their financial restrictions.
The Andalusian side however, didn’t end there as they inquired a potential loan deal or a 50% of the player’s rights for €5m. Los blancos still, was far from impressed in any of this offers.
Dani Ceballos will stay at Real Madrid
Dani Ceballos stay at Real Madrid is now confirmed. The player’s exit route has has been completely blocked. This comes in a major update by Spanish newspaper Marca (as quoted by The Madridzone).
With this, the report further adds that Real Madrid will now turn their focus on lo celso.
