Real Madrid likely to go for XABI Alonso NEXT summer

Xabi Alonso has been amongst the best managers in the world for over a year or two now. The Spaniard’s fantastic work with Bayer Leverkusen has not gone unnoticed, as he guided them to the bundesliga title last season, while going unbeaten in the league.

Real Madrid’s interest in Xabi

Real Madrid’s admiration for Xabi Alonso is no secret. Infact, the club were rumored to be in contact with the Spaniard las season, before they opted to trust Ancelotti with another two year contract.

However, according to the source, Real Madrid are back in the race for Xabi Alonso. The report claims this could happen as early as next summer.

After signing a contract extension with the club just last season which runs until 2026, Rumors has it that Alonso has a special clause in his contract, that favors all the former clubs he played for. This clubs include; Real Madrid, Liverpool and Bayern Munich.

Liverpool already got their new man in Arne slot, while Bayern are enjoying life under Kompany. With this in mind, The competition reduces a great deal for Real Madrid.

Indeed, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is a big fan of Xabi Alonso, and believes he’s the man to guide this Real Madrid side after Carlo Ancelotti.

What happens to Ancelotti?

Mid-season of last year, Carlo Ancelotti was handed a two year contract, that runs until 2026. The manager will go on to reward the club with winning the LaLiga, Spanish supercopa and champions league. However, his stay at the club till that time will be greatly dependent if his success this season.

After a poor start to the season, Real Madrid seems to have found their footing, and Ancelotti will hope to keep that winning streak going on, if he desires to stay pass this season.

Real Madrid will compete in a total of 7 titles this season, an credit to Ancelotti who has already one, but the champions league and LaLiga will be the main determining factor of his future.
