When it comes to managing the contract situation of its players, especially the veterans, Real Madrid are second to none. The latest name on the list of Renewals is club legend and vice captain, Dani Carvajal.

Dani Carvajal, a player at the club since youth, currently has a contract that expires in the summer of 2025. Barely 9 left on his contract, the club are now seeking continuity with the Spaniard.

According to the Reliable journalist;

Real Madrid have informed Dani Carvajal that they want to renew his contract. It’s only a matter of a meeting between his agent & José Ángel Sánchez.

Knowing Real Madrid, it’s not in their nature to offer a contract of more than one year to players passed 30. This was further confirmed by the source, which continued;

 Dani Carvajal’s contract renewals will now be taken year by year, as is the case with all players that are of his age. The player perfectly understands the club’s policy and accepts the conditions.

Carvajal in favor of a Renewal

Renewing Carvajal’s contract won’t be a hard nut to crack for Real Madrid in anyway. The player personally has the burning desire of continuing at the club, and that has been evident in his recent interviews.

Knowing he could become club captain next season with Modrić leaving, Carvajal is more than fired up to commit to a new deal. His words of admiration towards the club in recent interviews, have facilitated the renewal.

However, at Real Madrid, contract renewals are earned and not given. In this case, one cannot say that Carvajal does not deserve a renewal.
