Real Madrid were back in action last night at the Santiago Bernabéu vs Espanyol. It was an entertaining contest, as Real Madrid survived the scare of going 1-0 behind early in second half. However it was a convincing victory at the end, with the merengues emerging 4-1 victors. Goals were scored by Vinicius Jr, Mbappe, Rodrygo and Dani Carvajal.
In what was a positive outing in terms of results, it wasn’t all that in terms of personnel. Carlo Ancelotti had to sub off Carvajal early in second half, while Bellingham suffered a shoulder scare.
Owing to both scenarios, Spanish outlets relevo, has shed light on the matter ahead of Tuesday’s clash. (Via Madridxtra)
Carvajal and Bellingham could miss out against Alaves
According to the source, both players are a high rist for Tuesday, when Real Madrid play host to Alaves. As a result, Carlo Ancelotti could choose to play safe, by not counting on both stars on the night.
This comes as a result of the upcoming Derby, as Real Madrid take-on Atlético next Sunday away from home. However, The report further claims that both stars are expected to be match fit in one weeks time before the derby.
Big miss for Ancelotti
There’s no arguing the quality both Carvajal and Bellingham bring to this Real Madrid side. Both players are key assets in Ancelotti’s plans and their dream for silverWare.
Bellingham for one, has missed the opening season a great deal. The English just recently returned from injury, and it looks like the team is set to be without him again.
Carvajal on the other side, has featured on every match day for Ancelotti so far this season, and has been a great asset while doing so.
However, it’s for the better that Ancelotti decides not to risk both players. With a big game like the Madrid Derby coming up, Ancelotti could really use all the help he can get from his most trusted skippers.
Moreover, against a lower ranked side like Alaves, Real Madrid has the likes of Lucas Vasquez who can fit-in, in place of Carvajal and Arda Güler or Modrić who can play deputy to Bellingham.
We really need them for the madrid darby..wishing them a rapid recovery
