PSG Wants REVENGE For Mbappé’s FREE Madrid Transfer

A little over 10 months ago, Real Madrid pulled off what was seen as the greatest transfer of the century. Led by Florentino Perez, the club landed Kylian Mbappe from Paris SG for FREE, on a 5 year deal.

The Los Blancos had previously attempted to sign the player on several occasions in the past 5 years, coming closest in 2022. However, Florentino Perez later confirmed that PSG led by Nasser Al-Khelaif rejected their €200m bid.

Imagine rejection €200m for your star player and captain, only for him to leave for free – of course matters got heated.

By personality, Nasser Al-Khelaifi is not the guy to just take the L and move on. The Mbappe move to Real Madrid, seen as “Betrayal” in his eyes will be no exception.

As per the latest confirmation by Marca, PSG have still not moved on from Mbappe. The Paris based club are carefully strategising a “get-back” at Real Madrid.

The Spanish media also goes on to cite that PSG’s ultimate plan is to snatch one of Real Madrid’s very own. They want to sign one of Real Madrid’s academy ‘gems’.

Who Could PSG Possibly Be Looking At?

With the source stating that PSG wants to sign someone from the club’s academy, the options that come to mind are; Raul Asencio, Joan Martinez and Nico Paz with Dani Carvajal (injured) and Vasquez who is way passed his prime.

Looking at this It’s not hard to find out that PSG certainly might be reconsidering their Revenge plan. But however, they are several other players at the club worth the chase;

Fede Valverde

Fede joined Real Madrid back in 2018 from Panerol at the age of 18. The Uruguayan also spent some time with the Real Madrid youth ranks for adaptation, and could be an option for PSG.

Valued at €120m, and regarded as future captain, signing a versatile player like Valverde will definitely be worth the chase for PSG.

Vinícius Jr

Ballon d’Or runners up last season, along with Fede, Vini joined Real Madrid in 2018 at the age of 18. The Brazilian also spent some time with the youth ranks for adaptation, and could be an option for PSG.

Valued at €200m, with a €1BN offer on the table from Saudi clubs, it would be “an eye for an eye” if PSG could land Vini in the future.

Rodrygo

One of the most sought-after attackers in Europe right now, it’s not hard to see why PSG might have a go at Rodrygo. More than just for “Revenge”, Rodrygo brings plenty to a team, qualities Luis Enrique wouldn’t mind working with.

Valued at €100m, Rodrygo might be one of the cards Nasser Al-Khelaifi could play out.

Eduardo Camavinga

Before signing for Real Madrid from Rennes in 2021, PSG were one of the leading suitors for the €31m rated Midfielder. However, the Frenchman choose Real Madrid.

Now, he could be on their radar again as PSG aims a “get-back” at Real Madrid.
