One of the major headlines of last summer’s transfer window was kylian Mbappe joining Real Madrid from PSG. The los blancos finally got their dream signing, after almost 7 years of courtship.

Upon his arrival at the Spanish capital, it was not a dream goodbye the player would have expected from PSG. The president in particular, Nasser Al-Khelaifi was always against that decision.

However, despite going to great lengths to try and keep the French captain, his mind was always made up. Now, a report from Spanish newspaper Relevo [via the Madrid zone] has emerged claiming PSG want revenge.

According to the source, PSG would like to strike back at Real Madrid by signing their biggest superstar. This will serve as their major hit back at Florentino Perez.

The player in question here is Vinicius Jr. After missing out on the Ballon d’Or, the Paris based club are aiming to take advantage of the player’s unsettled mind.

However, pulling this transfer off seems more impossible than possible. The player’s current deal at the club runs until 2027, followed by a €1B release clause. It would be almost impossible for any European club to trigger such a clause.

According to the report, not only PSG are keeping tabs on Vinicius Jr. The source further goes on to mention premier League heavyweights Manchester United and Chelsea as other suitors.

It’s also important to highlight that the interest from Chelsea and man united do not hold enough weight as that from PSG. The French club are certain that Vinicius can be the star of their new project.

Albeit all the interest flying in, Real Madrid still remains super confident that their superstar is going nowhere. As a matter of fact, the club is currently working on extending the Brazilian’s contract at the Bernabéu.

On his renewal, the player does not seem in a hurry and believes they will be a right time for that.
