Real Madrid trio gets medical clearance

In a slow start to the season both domestically and in Europe, injuries have not been kind to Real Madrid. After just 19 match days, the Merengues have already recorded 26 different injuries across the squad. The match against Liverpool was no different.

At Anfield, Camavinga had to be subbed off in the early stages of the second half. The player suffered the same muscle injury as Vinicius Jr, and is expected to be sidelined for 2-3 weeks.

Eduardo Camavinga however, was not the only one to suffer a blow on Wednesday night. A photage showed kylian Mbappe limping off the stadium, while Bellingham and Brahim were also reported to have suffered a blow.

Mbappé, Bellingham and Brahim to feature vs Getafe

According to Arancha Rodriguez, there is no call for alarm regarding the trio. The source reports that after the tests carried out today at valdebebas, all three players emerged negative.

This will somehow be some good news for the madrid faithfuls, heading into Sunday’s LaLiga clash. The Royal whites will play host to Getafe at the Bernabéu.

LaLiga title race is still alive

Real Madrid might be in all sorts of problems in the UCL, but LaLiga isn’t far from their reach. Barcelona only have a four points lead over the los blancos, who still have a game in hand.

If Real Madrid wins their game in hand against Valencia, they will move only one point behind Barcelona. Despite going through a rough stint, the season is still far from over and it won’t come as a surprise if madrid were to turn the situation around.

This weekend also holds some interesting fixtures, as every single game plas key to league standings. Barca host las Palmas tomorrow, while Real Madrid host Getafe. The gap either widens or reduces if any of the two fail to pick maximum points.

This highlights the importance of players fitness on every match day. Something which has become a luxury in Madrid.
