According to the report, Alexander Arnold is no stranger to the Real Madrid rumors. The player, alongside his representatives are aware of a possible future at the Santiago Bernabéu.

As per the source, Real Madrid are now awaiting the players final decision. His future is still very much in the air, due to his contractual issues.

Heading into the summer, Trent will be amongst the superstars who will be on a free transfer. As of today, there is still no agreement with him parent club Liverpool, over a new deal.

Rumors have even gone as far as claiming that, the player is thirsty for a new challenge, and a future in Madrid is not ruled out. This explains why he rejected all renewal proposals till date.

Carvajal’s successor

Since his senior team debut, Carvajal has dropped mouthwatering performances year-in, year-out. However, age is no longer on the Spaniards side.

In his 30s, Real Madrid were already on a man-hunt for Carvajal’s replacement, even  before his injury. His season ending injury has only heisten the search for a replacement, and Trent is regarded as the right man for the job.

A serial winner at just 26, the Englishman has a world of experience under his belt. There’s a feeling at the club that he won’t have much problems filling Carvajal’s big boots.

However, Real Madrid only intend to get the player for free in the summer. Rumors has it that there’s a possibility to sign him for €40m in January, but Madrid deems it unnecessary to spend that big on a player with only six months left on his contract.

The coming months will prove to be crucial in Trent’s future, as far as Real Madrid is concerned.
