Brahim Diaz sidelined for Three months | Reports

Despite successfully securing all three points against Real Sociedad, Brahim Diaz emerged as one of the negatives from last night’s match. The Moroccan international was forced off the pitch in the 25th minute of play, after picking up an injury to his abductor longus muscle of his right leg.

Adding to the already long list of injured players at the club, the estimated time for Brahim’s absence is now known.

Real Madrid confirmed Brahim’s injury

Earlier today, Real Madrid’s official website released a statement, confirming the youngstar had been injured. In a brief announcement, the statement read;

Following tests carried out today on our Brahim Díaz by the Real Madrid medical department, the player has been diagnosed with an injury to the abductor longus muscle of his right leg. His progress will be monitored.

Before this announcement, there were reports claiming Brahim would be out only for a month. Other reports even claimed he will be available in the squad after the next international break.

However, with this official statement, came clarity. An official revelation by journalist Arancha Rodriguez, claimed Brahim Diaz will be out for three months atleast.

As a result, further reports from Guillermo Rai of The Athletic indicated that;

‘Brahim’s injury is described as a ‘very sad diagnosis’. THREE months out.

In addition to this information, the ever-reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano emphasized that Brahim will undergo new tests in one week to gain further clarity on his injury.
