After a rather poor performance on the opening match day, Carlo Ancelotti and his boys will be looking to bounce back in the next match.

The team will take on newly promoted side Real Valladolid at the Bernabéu, in what will be their second game of the 2024/25 LaLiga campaign, a golden chance to pick up first three points of the season.

Home comings

This game is going to be a home coming for recently departed duo: mario Martin and Juanmi Latasa, who left the club not long ago to join sunday’s rivals.

It will be Mario Martin’s official LaLiga debut, what could come at a place he has always called home (the Bernabéu) against a team he knows through and through (Real Madrid) since youth.

For Latasa, it is not the first time he will face-off against the merengues, on his previous loan spells, he has had to take-on his parent club in the past.

BIG absentees

Ahead of the must win game, Real Madrid will be without talisman, Jude Bellingham, who recently suffered an injury in the build up of the clash, David Alaba who is still recovering from an ACL injury he suffered in December of 2023, Jesus Vallejo who suffered an overload in recent days and Eduardo Camavinga, who is still out after the injury he picked up in training leading to the UEFA SUPER CUP.

Aside all these names, Ferland Mendy is also another name carlo Ancelotti can’t count on in the squad for the clash. This is because the French LB picked-up a straight red in the dying seconds of the opening league game, for a high knee tackle on kosovo international “vedat muriqi”

Amidst all the absentees, Carlo Ancelotti has called up academy star JACOBO RAMON, whome the manager trusts a lot should they be need for a sub for one of Militão or Rüdiger.
