In what is set to be a long and demanding season for Carlo Ancelotti and an co., Eduardo Camavinga was one of the first team regulars to pickup up an injury. In an unfortunate circumstance, a coming together with French compatriot Aurelien Tchouaméni ahead of the UEFA super cup in Warsaw saw the Midfielder ruled out for the clash against Atalanta.
Prior to Camavinga’s injury, initial reports claimed he had suffered a blow to his internal collateral ligament of the knee. A recovery period was set at about 2 months.
Camavinga’s Return date
According to Spanish newspaper AS, Camavinga is expected to return in early October. The Midfielder who is yet to play a single minute this season is now in the final days of his recovery.
Indeed, Initial reports had even speculated a possible return for Camavinga in ending September, but Diario AS has insisted on the fact that he will miss the upcoming schedules for September.
Big relief for Ancelotti
Camavinga has always been a spacial piece of Ancelotti’s plans over the years. Be it off the bench or at the start, the manager has always found balance and perfect timing for the Frenchman to impact games.

Other returns
Aside Camavinga, French duo of Mendy and Tchouaméni are also tipped for a return against Real sociedad. Both players were injured upon arrival at the French camp and immediately returned to Madrid.
Jude Bellingham, another player to have suffered an injury has been highly speculated to return this weekend. However, nothing is confirmed as of yet.
Dani Ceballos also suffered an injury against Real betis, and is no where near a return. A recovery date for the Spaniard has been set at 6-8 weeks.
