Franco Mastantuono JOINS Real Madrid – Confirms Fabrizio Romano

On may 31st, Fabrizio Romano reported that PSG had over 60% chances of signing Franco Mastantuono from River Plate. Fast forward 3 days later on June 3rd, chief scout Juni Calafat jetted to Buenos Aires to meet the player’s representative. On June 8th, the Italian has broke news of the player joining Real Madrid.

Real Madrid have triggered the player’s release clause of $45m (€39.5m), making him their latest signing of the summer. The merengues have already completed the signings of Trent Alexander Arnold and Dean Huijsen.

It’s also worth mentioning that the $45m release  clause will be paid in installments.

Will Franco join Real Madrid for the Club World Cup?

Contrary to reports from 2 days ago, Franco Mastantuono will NOT join Real Madrid for the Club World Cup. The player is expected to make the move in August confirms, CLMerlo

On that same day, the player will turn 18 years old. Surely this would be the best birthday present of his life.

Talking about the new season, Laliga has scheduled its opening in August 17, that’s 3 days after Franco’s presentation. However, both Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid who are participating in the CWC are demanding it be shifted to August 24th.

They demand this plea be effective if they make it to the advance stages of the tournament. They have the full support of other players in the league.
