After seven years, kylian Mbappe finally fulfilled his life long dream of playing for Real Madrid. Mbappé became the latest member of this Real Madrid side, which has been tipped to dominate European football for the next decade or so.
However, it’s worth mentioning that Mbappé and his new teammates have not had it easy in the early stages of this campaign. In four LaLiga outings, the Los Blancos have only managed 2 wins, while having had to settle for two draws.
Balde Reacts on Mbappe signing
Young Barça full-back, Alejandro Balde, in a recent media interaction was asked to comment on Madrid signing Mbappe. The Spaniard sounding unbothered, acknowledged the Frenchman’s impact while making it clear football is not a one man game as he said;
“Mbappé is a very good player, but we have to focus on ourselves. We shouldn’t look at others and what they do. Football is a game of 11 vs 11.”
Balde’s confidence is justifiable, taking into consideration Real Madrid and Barça’s performances in the opening stages of this campaign.
Barca, who started the campaign with all odds of winning the league against them, are currently flying high, winning all four of their opening LaLiga games and playing quite well as well, while Real Madrid on the other hand are quite struggling and are yet to find a playing pattern without Toni Kroos.
The Real test is still ahead
Meanwhile Madrid might have struggled in recent games, the season has only just begun. With the quality present on this squad, one can only imagine what will become of their opponents if they do click together.
With the first Clásico not too far ahead, that could be the match that plays an important role in who will win the league.
Also, kylian Mbappe who was on a three game goal drought recently ended his ill-luck in front of goal with a brace against Real Betis last Sunday.
Although Barcelona might be the better team now, Madrid’s performance will only get better when Carlo Ancelotti recovers injured stars including Bellingham and Camavinga amongst others.
