Real Madrid has been home to some of the most iconic footballers of all time. Legends like Santiago Bernabéu, Ferenc puskas and Alfredo Di Stefano have all worn the Royal white jersey, while Galacticos such as Ronaldo fenomeno, Raul, Zidane, Beckham, Figo, and Roberto Carlos all coexisted at the club at once.

In more recent time, the club has been home to stars like Cristiano, Benzema, Ramos, Bale, Alonso, Kroos and Modrić. With the club said to be building another Galactico era, a player frequently linked to a Bernabéu switch is wirtz.

Madrid’s interest in Florian WIRTZ

If a report by Real Madrid’s correspondent Jorge Picon for Reliable newspaper Relevo is to be believed, Real Madrid are careful plotting a potential transfer for Florian Wirtz in 2025. The Midfielder is currently valued at €120m.

However, signing wirtz won’t be a walk in the park for Madrid, with Bayern also strongly involved in this equation.

WIRTZ, known for his impressive contributions in the attacking-third of the pitch, was a huge asset for Leverkusen when they ended Bayern’s  dominance in the bundesliga. He was also a key figure in the clubs countless late comebacks leading to an invincible league campaign.

Despite the increasing competition in wirtz, with a few Rumors linking city, Bayern to the chase, Madrid are deemed favorites.

Real Madrid’s strategy

For Madrid, inorder to avoid any sort of a bidding war, the merengues want the German wonderkid to openly choose Madrid over other suitors. Knowing the club, it’s not in their nature to engage in any bidding wars regardless of the player in question.

So far so good, it doesn’t look like this is going to be a problem. Infact the AM is very much hyped about a move to the Bernabéu.

Florian Wirtz, 21, is largely seen as Real Madrid’s way to compensate for Kroos’ exit. Although the two players have a completely different profile, the club highly values what he brings to the table.
