International football is back for the next two weeks, with some exciting international match-ups. Amongst the exciting fixtures, kylian Mbappé and France will play host to Italy.
The two successful footballing nations will face-off on Friday, in what will be their opening game of the UEFA Nations League.
Mbappé to get a start
If a report by reputable French newspaper lequipe is to be believed, Kylian Mbappé will be part of Didier Deschamp’s starting line-up on the night (via The Madrid zone)
After a mediocre performance at the euros, Mbappé will be hoping to bounce back during the ongoing international break, leading his nation from the front as captain.
Real Madrid absentees for France
In total, four real Madrid players are of French origin: Mbappé, Camavinga, Tchouaméni and Ferland Mendy. However, an injury to Camavinga before the UEFA SUPER CUP ruled him out of Deschamp’s list.
Tchouaméni and Ferland Mendy were both part of the list but were later dropped out.
A report by French journalist Fabrice Hawkins on Monday read;
“Tchouameni leaves the France team. Problem with his left foot.”
However, a more relieving report from Rodra P of Relevo came on to calm the nerves of the Madrid faithfuls;
“Aurélien Tchouaméni’s injury is not serious, and he will use the international break to REST. He will prepare to arrive against Real Sociedad in the best shape.”
As for Mendy, an announcement from French football federation claimed;
“Ferland Mendy has suffered an injury in the right tibia and will not join the France NT.”
Amidst Mendy’s injury, further updates from AranchaMOBILE claimed;
“Everything indicates Ferland Mendy’s issue is NOT serious. It is seen as an overload.”
With media outlet Cope also claiming;
“In principle, Ferland Mendy will NOT miss any Real Madrid games.”
With an already long list of injuries, Real Madrid will be hoping to recuperate Mendy and Tchouaméni at the earliest.
