Ancelotti subs Vinicius Jr off against Paraguay following a hamstring scare

Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid’s former boss for the past 4 seasons led his second game as Brazil’s coach in the early hours of today morning. The Selecão’s took on Paraguay in a must win World Cup qualifier, and win they did.

After a disappointing 0-0 draw against Ecuador, Carlo registered his first win on home soil 1-0, thanks to Vinicius Jr. It was the first goal under the Italian’s tenure, and of course it had to come from Vinicius jr. The scriptwriters cooked again, as the two considered father and son in the football world look to bring Brazil to the promise land.

Carlo Ancelotti did not want to risk the player

According reliable media outlet marca, Vinicius suffered a blow to the Femoris of his left leg. The player initially wished to continue playing, as he didn’t think of it as something serious. However, with the club World Cup around the corner, Ancelotti did not want to risk anything. The former head coach still has a lot of affection for the Los Blancos, and wouldn’t do anything to jeopardize their chances of winning.
